Hard

Water?

You could benefit from a water softener

What is a water softener ?

A water softener is a device that is plumbed into your water supply pipework. It filters out naturally occurring minerals in water such as calcium by using ion exchange technology and ejects the mineral deposits straight to the buildings drainage system. The end result is mineral free (Soft) water.

What is hard water ?

Hard water is water that is rich in calcium or magnesium carbonate. It picks up these minerals by filtering through materials such as chalk in the ground which is a large makeup of the terrain in South east England.

What affect does hard water have ?

Mineral rich water sounds good but can cause problems such as

-Dull, greasy and hard to manage hair

-Lime scale build up in kettles, shower heads, washing machines, boilers and other appliances

-Discoloration to kitchen and bathroom porcelain

And

-Less lather in soaps and toothpaste, causing the need to use more of the products.

What’s next ?

If you think you could benefit from a water softener you can arrange a site visit.

We will carry out a hardness test with instant results to see if you need a water softener and what size would be needed.

We will then provide you with a firm quote and arrange a date for fitting. We fit domestic and commercial softeners so can help improve the quality of water in your home or business.

See our process If you require a comprehensive water treatment service.
